GSMS Goes Pink for October
At GSMS, giving back to our community is at the heart of what we do. It's why we started our "We Heart Local" campaign! This October, we’re excited to announce our participation in a cause that hits close to home. Zak Downing, Director of Operations at GSMS, has been nominated to join the American Cancer Society's 'Men Wear Pink' campaign in New Hampshire. In support of Zak’s nomination and the fight against breast cancer, GSMS is going pink for the entire month of October!
We’re proud to help raise awareness and funds for this important cause, with a goal of raising $2,500 to support the American Cancer Society’s mission to save lives, celebrate survivors, and fight for a world without cancer. Throughout the month, you’ll see our team sporting brand-new pink shirts and booties while we continue delivering the same great HVAC and plumbing services you know and trust.
Thank you so much for joining us in the fight by making a donation to Men Wear Pink! We surpassed our goal and raised $5,337!! We are blown away by your support. Thank you again for joining GSMS to help fund vital research and support for those affected by cancer in our community.
Zak shared what this opportunity means to him:
“It means a lot to me because it’s not just about wearing pink; it’s about opening our eyes to the struggles our family, friends, and neighbors face. Through our 'We Heart Local' campaign, I’ve discovered so many local non-profits doing incredible work, often without the recognition they deserve. It completely changed the original mission I had for 'We Heart Local.' It’s the same with cancer—people in our communities are fighting battles we might not even see. By joining 'Men Wear Pink,' I hope to raise awareness for both cancer and the ways we can support those fighting in our own backyards.”
At GSMS, we believe in standing together to lift up our neighbors. This October, we’re not just going pink for the sake of awareness—we’re going pink for the people fighting battles we can’t always see and for a future without cancer.
